ECONOMIC SHOCK would allege to physiological shock in that lack of blood supply ( shock) stops the functioning of a vital organ or system, at risk of death. A social phenomenon can be so negative that it temporarily and completely blocks economic development, and even pushes it back, constituting a shock to the economy of the country or region.
